1. Greeting & Lesson Overview

“Welcome! Today we’ll learn about everyday objects found in the kitchen—àwọn ohun èlọ̀ ilé ìdáná.”

Objectives:

• Identify and name common kitchen items in Yoruba

• Practice pronunciation and spelling of kitchen vocabulary

• Strengthen listening and recall through visual aids

2. Core Vocabulary Presentation

Display images with corresponding Yoruba terms:

• Àwo – Plate

• Ṣíbí – Spoon

• Ìfé ìmúmi – Cup

• Àpótí Ìdáná – Kitchen Shelf

• Ìkọ̀kọ̀ – Pot

• Òdó àti Ọmọ Òdó – Mortar and Pestle

• Ìjókòó ilé ìdáná – Kitchen Stool

• Àmúga – Fork

• Ìdáná ìgbalódé – Gas Cooker

• Ọ̀bẹ – Knives

• Àṣẹ̀́ – Sieve

• Àpótí Àwo – Plate Rack

• Ọ̀rógún – Spatula

• Ṣágo – Food Flask

• Àtẹ – Tray

• Ẹ̀rọ ìlọta – Blender

• Ṣíbí ìṣèbẹ̀ – Cooking Spoon

3. Pronunciation Drill

Instructor names each item

Learners repeat the Yoruba word after hearing the English name
